Kid Cudi: The Rebel Ragers Tour Review

Music is one of those mediums that not only brings you some of the best joy you can have in life, but also connects with us on a very emotional level. Music saves people at times and is there when people need it most. We listen to music when we are looking to have fun at a party, when we are sad, to dance, vibe out, and so much more. It is the one thing that everyone agrees on. Music connects people to the artists and the community built around their music. A communal experience that is unforgettable and so real. This is why concerts are so crucial in our society as they are a place where we can all come together and experience the power of music together. Last night, I went to the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, for a very special concert. Kid Cudi is currently on tour with his The Rebel Ragers tour. Seeing him live is a dream come true as he is one of my all-time favorite artists. Someone who has created music that shook me to my core. An artist that I have listened to in all the good times and bad in life. His music truly saved me. The production and performance at this concert are nothing less than pure magic. Kid Cudi stated from the start of the performance that this setlist he created is for the day one fans. A little bit of old and new, going through his entire discography. His talent is truly unmatched, and it truly was one of the best shows I have ever been to. Sponsored by his own foundation, The Big Bro Foundation, he is making waves still to this day. From podcasting, creating music, performing, and everything else, Kid Cudi is one of the best musical artists of our generation.

The venue of Shoreline Amphitheater is fantastic for a concert venue. With very easy communication, the event went super smooth. Their social media page is a great source of information about when to arrive, where to go, and all the events that follow. Warnings of the event being extremely crowded gave people a chance to arrive early and get in and out as best as possible. The lawn section is very well kept, and they even had lawn chairs to rent, which is a game changer. The staff and ticketing employees were super friendly and kind. There was never a time that I did not feel the good vibes that this place illuminates. A good mix of different vendors for food and drinks were all available in the venue as well. Pricing is what is expected from a big concert like this, but everything did taste premium. Merchandise for the concert was well crafted, and I fell in love with the designs that they had. High-quality material and perfect for any Kid Cudi fan. The organization of everything felt perfect. Parking was also very easy and free, with an option for paid premium parking. Arriving early per their instructions was the real win as you can easily get a good spot in the lawn area outside of the seating area in the front. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house as they also have several monitors showcasing the concert.

The audience is what blew my mind the most. As someone who started listening to Kid Cudi when he released the first volume of Man on the Moon, it was cool to see a lot of people my age there, but there were a lot of people from younger generations there as well. Families were all spread out on the lawn area enjoying this beautiful concert. A shared moment of the parents’ music spreading to their kids. Showing that his music can connect with all generations. Kid Cudi gave an absolute great performance and is as energetic as ever. It is really cool to see that he never left his passion for his own music and his fans. He knows that his music has been there for so many people and connects with them at a deep level. After each song, he looked at the audience and really looked at them. Waving at people, smiling, and sharing his appreciation for the crowd. It was a true connection of his art and the people ingesting it. The feeling of not being alone in the feelings that we all have sometimes and sharing that experience with everyone. It felt like a therapy session that we all needed. With great lights and visuals, the concert transports you into a world where everything feels okay. Everyone singing the lyrics to all the songs brought unity to the world. The visual storytelling was a perfect connection to his music, and I also really appreciated the “fuck ice” visual in one of the songs. He stays true to himself and speaks his mind. You think an artist is genuine, but seeing it real-time was a real treat.

Overall, the Rebel Ragers tour is a must-go for all Kid Cudi fans. It was an experience that will blow you away. It was great to see that he performed a lot of his older songs mixed in with his newer stuff as well. No matter when you got into his music, you will recognize a huge amount of his songs. He played a lot of his crowd favorites as well. It felt like a huge celebration of his music. A strong performance and crowd interaction made you feel a part of it all. There was a special moment at the start of the concert where people could donate to his foundation to win upgraded tickets, and I thought that was a very smart way to make a difference in the world. Having a chance to be rewarded if someone chooses to donate. The music he creates makes a difference to so many people, and as a fan, this concert did not disappoint. There was so much to love and great balance to his discography. If you are in a city that he will be arriving to, you should grab tickets. It will be well worth your time. Easily one of the best concerts I have been to. Special shoutout to Big Boi, who opened as well. One of the members of Outkast that really started the concert with a bang. A lot of music that people will really recognize. Memories were made and some that will never be forgotten. Thank you, Kid Cudi.
